Dr Urie Bezuidenhout: Owner Director

Urie Bezuidenhout is the principal founder of Da Vinci's. His role is to provide clients with experienced, professional, civil engineering and transport planning advice. His company brings a progressive approach to all solutions by using creativity and innovation to provide that elusive integrated result. He read for his MSc (Eng) degree at the Institute for Transport Studies at the University of Leeds in England (2000), specialising in Transport Planning and Engineering and recently completed his PhD (Engineering) researching driver behaviour and signal optimisation at the University of Auckland.

Urie Bezuidenhout is a transport planner and traffic engineer with 28 years professional experience as a consulting engineer in both New Zealand and South Africa and is the Owner of Da Vinci Transport Planning Limited.

He has appeared as expert witness at hearings for various clients dealing with traffic impacts, effects, and the use of traffic and transport model outputs in the analysis. He regularly peer reviews transport simulation models, study reports and designs.  Urie is also a very experienced civil engineer, spending 12 years designing and administering a variety of civil engineering design and construction projects.
